Stephen Bishop Joins Brad Pitt in MONEYBALL
Actor Stephen Bishop has been cast to play baseball slugger David Justice in the upcoming film “Moneyball.” The Brad Pitt baseball film is under the guidance of Columbia and begins filming in Los Angeles in two weeks.
The film is based on a 2003 nonfiction work from Michael Lewis. The story follows Oakland Athletics’ GM Billy Beane who believes in building a winning franchise without paying astronomical salaries to star players. David Justice played the majority of his MLB career with the Atlanta Braves, but played his final season in 2002 with the Athletics, who made the playoffs that season. Robin Wright, Jonah Hill, and Philip Seymour Hoffman have also been cast to star in the film which will be directed by Bennett Miller.
Bishop has previously appeared on several TV shows including “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Lost,” “Brothers and Sisters,” and “Girlfriends.” His feature film experience includes “The Rundown” and “Friday Night Lights.”
