Cold Case’s Kathryn Morris To Join MONEYBALL
Actress Kathryn Morris is in negotiations with Columbia Pictures to join the upcoming baseball flick “Moneyball.” Morris scored the role in “Moneyball” shortly after changing her representative agency from WME to Gersh Agency in April.
“Moneyball” tells the real life story of Oakland Athletics’ General Manager Billy Beane and his quest to prove a successful baseball franchise can be built without paying superstar athletes astronomical salaries. Morris joins an already star studded cast that includes Brad Pitt, Robin Wright, Jonah Hill, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Stephen Bishop. Morris will play the role of Beane’s (Pitt) second wife who shares his passion for baseball. The project begins filming next week in Los Angeles.
Morris has been a star on the CBS series “Cold Case” for seven seasons. She has also appeared in the feature films “Minority Report,” “Resurrecting the Champ,” and “Paycheck.” Her next big screen project will see her appear in the indie film “Mother’s Little Helpers,” which hits theaters in December.
