You Say “Hell Does Not Exist”, You Get a Movie
Writer Marcus Hinchey is developing the screenplay for the upcoming film “Heretics.” The film is reportedly being developed in hopes of luring director Marc Forster to lead the way.
The idea for the project came from an episode of “This American Life,” a radio show broadcast on public radio. The film will tell the true story of Carlton Pearson who was once an up and coming star in the evangelical movement. Pearson was ostracized from his own church however for preaching a belief that Hell did not exist. A slew of groups and individuals are teaming to produce the film with Forster, “This American Life” writer-producer-host Ira Glass, and Alissa Shipp partnering with Endgame Entertainment and Apparatus to get the film moving.
Hinchey’s most recent work includes developing the screenplay for “All Good Things” starring Ryan Gosling, Kirsten Dunst and Frank Langella. That film is being directed by Andrew Jarecki for Groundswell Productions.
