Armie Hammer Joins ‘Man From U.N.C.L.E.’ Reboot Opposite Tom Cruise
Guy Ritchie’s planned reboot of 1960s spy series Man From U.N.C.L.E. has been bubbling away for a couple of years but, having already cast veteran leading man Tom Cruise, the film now boasts Armie Hammer starring alongside him.
The assumption is obviously that the relatively well-known actor will become a mega-star following his role in Gore Verbinski’s ‘The Lone Ranger’ this summer.
The original series was created in the 1960s and following American agent Napoleon Solo and Soviet agent Illya Kuryakin on their adventures. Hammer will be occupying the latter role, originally portrayed by David McCallum.
