Lots of Dancing in Teaser Trailer for ‘Rio 2’
20th Century Fox’s sequel to 2011’s Rio, simply titled Rio 2, debuted its first teaser recently. It features a whole lot of dancing animals. True to the “teaser” part, it doesn’t give any hints about the upcoming plot.
I, though, can tell you it’s about Blu (voiced by Jesse Eisenberg) and Jewel (voiced by Anne Hathaway) as they struggle to raise their children. Blu likes the domesticated life while Jewel wants her children to live like real birds.
Some of the rest of the cast includes Leslie Mann, Jamie Foxx, and Jemaine Clement. Rio 2 will open April 11, 2014, a few weeks after it opens internationally. It’s directed by Carlos Saldanha.
