Seven New Photos for ‘Despicable Me 2’ with Plenty of Gru (Steve Carell)

An animated arms race is building up with D-Day being this summer. Despicable Me 2 is up against Pixar’s Monsters University and DreamWorks’ Turbo. It’s tough to know which one will come out on top.

For those interested in the follow-up to 2010’s Despicable Me, I’ve attached seven new photos below. The movie, directed by Pierre Coffin and Chris Renaud, releases over the 4th of July weekend (July 3 to be exact).

It features the voices of Steve Carell, Russell Brand, and Kristen Wiig, as Gru continues to grow apart from being a villain. In the new movie, he will join the Anti-Villain League to fight a different bad guy named Eduardo (Benjamin Bratt).
