Clip Mania: Need for Speed, Sabotage, The Grand Budapest Hotel, and More
As we start the last weekend of February 2013, I thought I’d release the newest batch of clips. All of the upcoming movies are in the near future, so I sorted them by appeal. In order, you can see clip(s) for Need for Speed, Sabotage, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Rio 2, Veronica Mars, The Right Kind of Wrong, and In Fear. Scroll to see them.
Oh, and catch up on this week’s trailers, posters, photos, and news releases.
One of the biggest March releases in the video-game-turned-movie Need for Speed. I’m really excited for this movie for one reason: Aaron Paul (AMC’s Breaking Bad). Scott Waugh’s (Act of Valor) racing action-adventure film released five clips ahead of its March 14th release. Only a few more weeks!
A killer (literally?) clip for David Ayer’s (End of Watch) Sabotage also surfaced. If you want to see Arnold Schwarzenegger do his best Rambo impression, check it out. Be warned that it is a red-band trailer…perhaps for the blood. Sabotage also stars Sam Worthington (Avatar) and Olivia Williams (Hyde Park on Hudson). It’ll release two weeks after Need for Speed on March 28th.
Staying in March, Wes Anderson’s (Moonrise Kingdom) The Grand Budapest Hotel added another clip online. The comedy stars Ralph Fiennes (Harry Potter), Bill Murray, Edward Norton, and more when it comes out March 7th. Go ahead and watch the video above.
One of (if not the) first clip for Rio 2 also came out. I chuckled at the title (“Pooping on Your Party”) more than the actual clip. However, full disclosure: I still haven’t seen the original. I do know the sequel will return director Carlos Saldanha and voice stars Jesse Eisenberg, Anne Hathaway, and many more. Rio 2 won’t hit U.S. theaters until April 11th.
If you were a Veronica Mars TV show fan, I probably don’t need to tell you what is coming up. And depending on your situation, you may have already seen the clip I attached. In it you can see reprising star Kristen Bell. Rob Thomas (the creator of the TV series) is also back in the project that’ll debut March 14th alongside Need for Speed.
Jeremiah Chechik’s (National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation) romantic comedy The Right Kind of Wrong also releases on March 14th. However, unlike the others, you can see this film already via the Internet. If you think you may want to see it, check out the clip I found above. The movie stars Ryan Kwanten (HBO’s True Blood) and Will Sasso (The Three Stooges).
To conclude things, I’ve attached not one, but two clips for In Fear. The March 7th horror film is directed by Jeremy Lovering (BBC’s Sherlock) and stars Iain De Caestecker (The Little Vampire), Alice Englert (Beautiful Creatures), and Allen Leech (The Sweeney). If you want to get to know the film, check them both out above.
Have a fantastic weekend!
