Photo Mania: Need for Speed, Annie, Transcendence, and More
Welcome to this week’s Photo Mania. After yesterday’s Poster Mania, I will admit this wasn’t as star-studded. However, it does continue the Annie trend as it completes the Film Equals trifecta (of trailers, posters, and now photos). It also features upcoming movies like Need for Speed, Transcendence, Jimi: All Is By My Side, Locke, Joe, and Oculus.
Check out all the photos and galleries below!
In front of this weekend’s release, I found another set of photos for Need for Speed. Scott Waugh’s (Act of Valor) film (based on a video game) stars Aaron Paul (AMC’s Breaking Bad), Imogen Poots (more on her later this post), and rap artist Kid Cudi. Look at the full gallery before the movie comes out on March 14th. (Source: Yahoo)
Like I mentioned in the intro, Annie continued its reign on our site with a set of five photos. All of them are below and primarily feature Annie herself (played by Quvenzhane Wallis), but Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz are also featured in Will Gluck’s (Easy A) musical. (Source: Yahoo)
I also found two more photos for Wally Pfister’s directorial debut Transcendence to go along with yesterday’s poster. Both pictured above are stars Johnny Depp and Morgan Freeman, and I’d suggest marking down April 18th on your calendars since this movie is definitely a looker. (Source: Yahoo)
For the Jimi Hendrix fans out there, I found a couple more photos (both above) for the upcoming biopic Jimi: All Is By My Side. Andre 3000 (of Outkast) will star as the iconic guitarist with Imogen Poots again making an appearance. John Ridley (Cool Around the Heart) directs the film that is still without a firm U.S. playdate. Keep on the lookout for more information. (Source: USA Today)
Ten more photos are viewable below for Steven Knight’s (Hummingbird) thriller Locke. All ten photos show about the same thing – star Tom Hardy in a car – but it goes along with the premise (the movie will tell the story of a man driving and settling his personal disputes while “talking” to his deceased father). The movie releases April 28th in the U.S. (Source: IndieWire)
Although David Gordon Green (Pineapple Express) is known for his comedy work, he does have a more dramatic movie on the horizon. Titled Joe, and starring Nicolas Cage and Tye Sheridan (Mud), the movie is a film adaptation of Larry Brown’s book of the same name. If you want to check out six photos for the movie (set to release April 11th), click the pics below. (Source: IndieWire)
To finish things off, I wanted to switch over to the horror genre. The film I found pictures for is Oculus. Mike Flanagan’s movie also releases on April 11th (alongside Joe), so it is just around the corner! Katee Sackhoff (Riddick) and Karen Gillan (Not Another Happy Ending) both star in the film. The photos are above for you. (Source: Comingsoon)
